Representation by CONFEDERATION OF ALL INDIA TRADERS (CAIT) seeking extension of the Tax Audit Report due date.
A humble request to the authorities: What is stopping a decision?
Kindly consider extending the TAR due date.
#TaxAudit#ExtendTAR@FinMinIndia
It seems there is no unity among CA on X.
Hardly anyone has tweeted with the tag #ExtendTaxAuditdate
Unless we unite, we won't see change.
Post why you want an extension and use the tag #ExtendTaxAuditdate
I can help raise your voice, but you also need to put in some effort by tweeting if you want an extension.
Retweet For Support Audit Date Extension
The demand of the majority of tax professionals is simple and practical:
• Tax Audit Report — permanently fixed at 31st October
• ITR filing for audited cases — 30th November
• Company statutory forms/ROC filings — 31st December
A stable compliance calendar is better for professionals, taxpayers and the system itself.

📢 EXTEND THE TAX AUDIT DUE DATE
TO 31ST OCTOBER — PERMANENTLY
No one would ask for an extension beyond 30th September…
IF:
✅ The last date for filing the Q4 TDS Return remains 30th April
✅ Form 26AS & AIS are made available by 15th May
✅ All ITRs and Tax Audit Forms — Form 3CD, 10B & 10BB and their e-filing utilities are made available by 15th May
✅ For non-audit ITRs, the due date continues to remain 31st July
QUALITY COMPLIANCE NEEDS ADEQUATE TIME
Tax Audit is not merely a form-filling exercise.
It requires proper verification, examination, reconciliation, documentation and professional judgement.
A reasonable and permanent timeline will ensure:
✔ Better Quality Audits
✔ Accurate Tax Compliance
✔ Reduced Errors & Litigation
✔ Less Last-Minute Pressure
✔ Better Professional Responsibility

No one demanded an extension of the 31st July or 31st August due dates because sufficient time was available.
But completing Tax Audit within one month is practically impossible. Quality audit requires proper verification, review and reporting.
Reuquest Extension upto 31st Oct For Tax audit.

This Sunday, let’s make the demand heard! 📢
Extend the due date of Tax Audit Reports to 31st October.
A 27–30 day window for completing 100+ audits is not practical and risks compromising audit quality.

Retweet for Support GST Appeal Delayed Amnesty.
Request One-Time Amnesty Scheme for GST Appeals filed beyond the 90–120 day limitation period.
Thousands of genuine taxpayers are losing their right to appeal due to portal glitches, procedural delays, and technical hardships. Justice should be decided on merits, not denied merely on limitation.

Request GST 9/9C Date Extension @cbic_india
Reason 1) GSTR-9C/9 depends on audited financials, which are available only after tax audit deadlines i.e. 10th Nov, 2025
Only 50 Days For GST Annual Return instead of 90 Days earlier periods
Compressed timelines make compliance impractical.

As of yesterday, 5.47 Crore income tax returns (ITRs) were filed for FY 24-25. Last year, 7.28 Crore ITRs were filed by July 31, 2024.
With 4 days to go, an average of 50 lakh daily returns will help us surpass last year's figures by September 15.
Is it possible? Yes it seems
AIS TIS download failed: 6 PM
Aadhar OTP failed: 7 PM
Client went back home after 2 hours: 8 PM
TRACES on uninformed upgradation: 9 PM
Thanks to @IncomeTaxIndia, this is the most arrogant behaviour I have seen against all tax professionals and taxpayers!
I need 1000 RTs to support this cause!

Dear @IncomeTaxIndia,@nsitharaman@nsitharamanoffc
All we are asking is an extension of both ITR & TAR dates. You also know the ground reality.
👉 Was it our mistake that Forms were released late?
👉 Was it our mistake that Portal is not working?
👉 Was it our mistake that floods have disrupted lives?
Then why this kind of behaviour towards taxpayers & professionals?
Utilities released late, heavy rainfall everywhere, clashing due dates with audit dates, we are chartered accountants and not AI who can work in adverse conditions. Requesting @IncomeTaxIndia@FinMinIndia to kindly extend the due date to 31st october.
Retweet if you agree.
