It is nonsensical, ridiculous, and preposterous to tell Nigerians that an alleged "ghost" agency was allocated office space at the Federal Secretariat by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

Protest: Gov. Buni Salutes Yobe Youths
Yobe state Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, has commended the people of the state especially the youth for appreciating calls against the protest as the state is emerging out of a protracted security challenge.
Governor Buni said "l am happy we are working on the same page, we clearly understand our situation, the state is just picking its pieces and we can not afford to accomodate anything including protest to draw us backwards.
"The good people of Yobe and especially our vibrant youth have shown great love, concern and patriotism to the state by adhering to calls aginst joining the protest" he said.
The governor assured that the state government would expand its policies and programmes to promote economic recovery and growth, and to accomodate large coverage of beneficiaries.
"We recently launched the massive agricultural empowerment programme to enhance agricultural production, ensure food sufficiency and security in the state.
"As you are aware 20 farmers from each of the 178 political wards are benefitting from the empowerment programme, this is in addition to the employments government offered to our youths in all the political wards" he added.
Buni assured that government would ensure Yobe state becomes a role model in both rain-fed and irrigation agricultural production.
He further assured that, with such understandings, government would continue to execute more people-oriented policies and programmes to improve the lives of the people.

Re-youths destroyed Bill Boards in Damaturu, false and misleading, we demand apology
Our attention has been drawn to a misleading online story credited to Daily Trust Newspapers that youth destroyed Bill boards erected to welcome personalities in protest during the launch of the State Agricultural Empowerment Programme in Damaturu yesterday.
The story is false, inaccurate and misleading. There was no rancour reported before, during and after the launch yesterday. It was a huge success as everyone moved freely throughout the period of the launch.
What actually happened was, after the exercise yesterday, some youth scrambled for the flex posters welcoming the dignitaries and the iron rods used for the Bill boards.
The scramble for such materials including iron rods, pipes, carpets and flex posters by the youth is seen as booty, and has become a common practice. These are now common after political party rallies and other public gatherings.
The public is hereby advised to disregard the false and misleading online publication.
The Daily Trust paper should as a matter of ethical practice verify stories sent to them before publication.
We hereby demand immediate withdrawal and apology for publishing the false and misleading information as the reporter on ground has denied sending such a misleading story to the media house.

Our hard work to turn things around in Zamfara is beginning to yield the desired results despite some setbacks, especially in security, which we are working tirelessly to surmount.
Your acknowledgment of our efforts is well received with humility and appreciation, sir, and this will give a spring in our steps to do better in our desire and mission to rebuild Zamfara.
I know that a lot of hard work would have gone into turning things around in Zamfara. If Zamfara can do it, then other states in the North can turn things around education-wise. Congratulations to Governor Dauda Lawal, @daudalawal_, and all the officials and agencies who brought about this transformation. -AA

Every year, on the 5th of May, when the nation pauses to honour the memory of our late President, His Excellency, Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, I take some time to reflect on the memory of my friend.
Today, I remember what he stood for and how he worked towards it. I remember his focus on building strong institutions—so that the very DNA of our democracy would be founded on laws and best practices, not on the whims of men.
I also remember his unfinished work, and how we must all work together—regardless of where we stand—to actualize his dreams of a better Nigeria.
Today, as we honour the memory of my friend, my brother, and our former President, we thank him for his service to our nation. And we pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) will continue to grant him a place amongst the righteous ones in Al Jannah Firdaus.
Ameen.
The Vice President, Sen. @KashimSM has implored development partners to provide more support for the @officialABAT administration to deliver on the Renewed Hope Agenda, especially in priority areas such as e-mobility, job creation, agriculture, food security and the power sector, among others.
He said delivering on the priority areas will help in addressing some of the challenges bedeviling the country, particularly the security situation occasioned by terrorism, kidnapping and banditry.
The Vice President stated this on Monday when he received the Global Managing Director of the Tony Blair Institute, Mr Michael McNair, who was on a courtesy visit to the Presidential Villa.
