Seeing you happy, succeed, and shine like you always did is part of my dream too.
Even if it wasn’t meant to be.
Even if a past version of me messed up what we thought we had.
Your smile still brings me joy like nothing else could.
- Islam permits private property.
- Islam forbids centrally planned economies.
- Islam has limited wealth redistribution: social security net for basic needs, but does NOT "ban billionaires".
- Most of all: Islam does NOT believe that class-conflict is the engine of history. The Islamic dialectic is submission vs. rebellion to God. The benevolence of divine sovereignty vs. the tyranny of men.
All of these are attested to by direct ayat and ahadith, with no difference of opinion between Islamic scholars.
I can keep going. I can also write a similar list showing how Islam contradicts capitalism. Islam is its own political system, distinct from and supreme to any man-made one. And I'm very happy to debate Haz or anyone else on this.
Wish you were here, my best friend. I hoped you could've seen all the celebrations, milestones & successes. I kept most of my promises. Just don’t remember me for the ones I couldn’t keep.
I know what cruelty feels like, and I refuse to pass it on.
I’ve been betrayed but still trust.
I’ve been broken but still love.
Because I made a choice.
The world’s darkness won’t dim my light.
Other people’s pain won’t become my excuse to cause more.
Nothing more calming than falling in love with life and yourself again after you thought you never would.
And nothing more rewarding than building a job that changes people’s lives while being your own boss with zero limits on how financially free you can become. ✨
Working 8 hours a day for a job that changes people's lives for the better every day and still pays well is one of life's true blessings.
Fuck the corporate world. Fuck capitalism. Fuck LinkedIn.
The reality is that Egypt is dirt cheap by global standards. Fuel, food, and healthcare are way below Europe, the GCC, and Asia. Travel and entertainment prices are way below where they should be.
You can enjoy some of the world's best beaches and historical landmarks for peanuts. The most expensive fine dining in the country doesn't cost more than $200 for two. Don't even get me started on medication prices and utility bills.
You can have a personal chauffeur for $200 a month and a maid for $200 a month — things that are unheard of almost anywhere else in the world.
That's the reality.
I lost what I thought mattered the most, but God showed me what really matters.
On a day that's special to my heart, I cherish the memories that shaped me into the man I am right now and don't run from the past, fearful of reality.
And I thank God for the journey He chose for me.
