💎 The Son Will One Day Become a Father, then He Will Understand

When the son takes the steps towards the threshold of fatherhood he is no longer the same person he used to be. Rather, a new realization is awakened within him and the doors of understanding are opened for him that he was previously unaware of. Past experiences and situations begin to repeat themselves and he finds himself, without realizing it, repeating that which he saw from his father in statement and action, patience, and advice.

In an instant he realizes that this man (his father) whom he previously thought to be too stern, or that he did not understand, was carrying concern and love that his young mind at the time did not comprehend. A newfound understanding is revealed that fills his heart with awe and respect and he finds himself to be a living extension of that history which he previously did not read well.

So O you who are still within the stage of (being) a son; take your time in your judgement and have a good thought. Contemplate with the eye of understanding and do not be hastily emotional. For although you do not understand your father today you will understand him tomorrow; but it will come after the passing of time and the question will weigh heavily in your heart: Why did I not show proper respect at a time wherein I was unoccupied?

So acknowledge the value of your fathers; for they are your living history and your roots which, if you are negligent of them the reality of their import will have withered away with you.
