According to Shaheen, the incident began when a man named Prince allegedly threw dirty drain water and harassed a woman. When the family protested, their neighbor Tarun allegedly returned with a group of men from a gym and attacked the Muslim family.
Shaheen further claimed that due to one-sided police action and intimidation by Hindutva groups, the Muslim family has been forced to leave their home. She also alleged that all the men of the family and three women have been arrested by the police.
