I don't have a problem someone announcing a grid, I guess my frustration is with a few guys that want it repeated 4 or 5 times on the same QSO because for some reason they didn't hear it. At some point, listen to the tape or look at QRZ because it's wasting a lot of time.

@N4AKV_ @w8lid @AC5H_ That does not always be the case. A lot of satellite operators don't do social media, and that will trigger the question. In my humble opinion... The best practice will be to announce the grid line or corner once in a while during the pass.

@AC5H_ I think part of the problem is people not letting others finish the proper exchange.
I don't want to sound prejudiced, but that is one of the many reasons why I stay away from FM transponders, unfortunately.

I'm not saying it doesn't have it's place. I can't tell you how much time I've had to waste trying to exchange Grid square info to guys who won't ever confirm via LOTW or card anyway. And if you only have 10 squares on your map it really doesn't matter.

@n6ckc @AC5H_ Right, and if nobody says their grid square, you don't know who's in the one you need so you can call them. Now however, the people who are on every single pass talking to each other...they don't need to be giving grid squares.
