Aggie Aspiring Educator ✨ One of my favorite parts about being human is the desire to acquire knowledge. It’s marvelous that humans want to grow their minds ☁️
This is your yearly reminder not to do that pilgrims and Indians foolishness with children in your classroom. If you need support with teaching the truth, I highly recommend the work of @learnforjustice!
@AviSchiffmann To include all the candidates available. Thus, acknowledging
all of these parties:

Wow! He is 17 years old, a high school student, and a web developer who created the website https://t.co/uqvVRzsRas ! He built one of the biggest websites for worldwide information on the spread of the novel coronavirus. Impressed and never doubt the youth!
The goal of this site has always been to spread information across the world about the ongoing pandemic, and not to make money, there will be opportunities for that in the future. I value the opportunities and connections all of you bring, it is worth far more to me than $$$.
Resistance to state-sanctioned brutality, antiblackness and racism has a long history in the United States. Some of these historians' reflections can help educators contextualize today's movement within this history. https://t.co/vjMxTFAWrx
@MaryTheSub72 @cynthiacide Nice catch! Unfortunately, I’m trying to stay in tweet characters & I may have joined up some words I was hoping wouldn’t take from the message. “A part” as the the latter is an adverb showing something is seperated. However, context clues are great for gaining meaning:”we aim”.
@kathryniveyy @SheepArePeople2 @Elizabe25405947 @cynthiacide Just the thought of being portrayed by someone you looked up to! The actor playing the cop, who broke up the fight, was also one of her ex students. 😢 It happens to be he was the one in the fight & now he’s acting it out! Love her for making it about the students & power of edu.
@SheepArePeople2 @kathryniveyy@Elizabe25405947 @cynthiacide representing her and she said that is exactly who she wanted to portray her.Erin had always been a huge fan of Hilary and when she found out she was a possible choice to play her she told the producers that’s exactly who she wanted. Just some info from the source;no disrespect!
@SheepArePeople2 @kathryniveyy@Elizabe25405947 @cynthiacide Howdy! I had the wonderful opportunity of watching the Freedom Writers with Erin Gruwell on Zoom. I'm apart of TSTA/NEA were we aim to grow public education and invited her to join us as we watched/ discussed the movie. We asked her how she felt about Hilary Swank…

Many educators are trying to meet this moment. Others are looking for a better understanding of racism and antiracism. This collection has many resources that can help educators plan conversations with young people—and learn more themselves.
