@the_soothsayer0@AcademicChatter@OpenAcademics Find a club, society, or team that has nothing to do with your degree but that you love and join it! So nice to have friends you donโt talk โshopโ with. Good luck!
Imagine my joy at hearing that @unisouthampton decided to split PhD graduates of the same degree over two days. I would have loved to graduate with ALL my fellow archaeologists. Disappointing doesnโt even cover it. What a disgraceful end to years of work.
@unisouthampton One of the few times I wish I could go back to 1964. What a slap in the face to get my PhD yesterday, with no moment, and then have the profs walk out to a clubbing song. Karaoke as entertainment. Disgraceful.
Slowly but surely getting my head around all these social media platforms, as my new job means Iโm using them daily. Another non-digging archaeology job ๐
My colleagues and I are having fun doing virtual walks from our homes to our sites in time for the end of March low tides ๐ keeping the storymapper skills up to speed!
