Year 6 have enjoyed DT week: evaluating ingredients available to rationed WW2 Britain; planning a stew suitable for a WW2 soldier; creating said stews (and baking some accompanying bread); and then trying/evaluating their efforts. Future Bake-Off contestants? You never do know!

Y6 had a great time at Eden Camp on Friday. They loved all the exhibits, especially the Anderson and Morrison shelters.

Design & Technology Project Week
29th November- 3rd December
The children will be completing their autumn D&T project next week. I hope the children enjoy making their project. I can't wait to see them.

Y1SBR/AFR- Maths Day- The children have enjoyed doing Maths investigations during Maths Day today. The children watched a video about Albert Einstein then completed different investigations.

F2RKN had a lovely PE session pretending to go to the seaside. We had some amazing balancing carrying our rather large ice creams!

Brooke F1 - This week we have been finding, discussing and creating patterns. We have also took part in a variety of Remembrance Day activities.

During our forest school session we have been collecting leaves for the compost heap and planting bulbs.

Y6 studied the war memorial in Thorne Park. Many of the children found names they recognised.

Year 6BTH thoroughly enjoyed our electrical circuits work, in Science, this week. The children made predictions about circuit diagrams - first, using their reasoning skills to ascertain whether they would work or not - and then produced the circuits to physically test them...

Y6 In music we have been learning to play the recorder. We have learnt to play the notes A and B so far; this is the tune we learnt today.

F2 craft club have had a wonderful evening creating Diwali toast and bonfire breadsticks. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Y1SBR/AFR- During our PE lesson the children worked as a team to complete different races.
The children have received their active travel badge for travelling actively to school during October.
In Maths we started our new Maths unit- Numbers within 20.
