This week has been a busy one for our members as we had a presentation by our member Anand on Monday talking about his project to reduce antisocial behaviour in the community in partnership with
@DerbysPCC
and then our luncheon club.

And on Tuesday we had the Every Voice Matters politics event organised by our chair @LudRamsey and @Derbyshirecc, which was very interesting and aimed to get more BAME involved in local politics. Thanks to @AsianAssociati1 for providing lunch too😁

First aid training and the use of a defibrillator this Tuesday. This was set up by our Chairman Lud to allow people to feel equipped to use the defibrillator that ACCA have donated to Hasland's local community recently. And thank you to our member David Young for leading it😁👨🏽‍⚕️

Some of our members went over to the town hall at the weekend to pay their respects to all of the fallen soldiers of the wars. Not forgetting all of the soldiers from the Commonwealth who helped out fighting for their countries' independence🌺🖤

Our members had a fantastic time visiting Matlock County Hall last week for a BHM event, where powerful speeches were given by Skip and his experiences of living and working in Jamaica as well as Samantha Samuels, the first Black female firefighter at West Midlands Fire Service✊🏿

Thanks to everyone that came down to support ACCA at the Tapton Lock Festival last weekend. Mengeh's cooking went down a treat with queues of people lined up to taste, and the audience appeared to love the African dancers that we sourced.
