Der russische Botschafter Sergej Netschajew will am kommenden Freitag an einer weiteren Gedenkveranstaltung zum Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs vor 80 Jahren teilnehmen. In Torgau wird dann an das Aufeinandertreffen US-amerikanischer und sowjetischer Soldaten an der Elbe am 25. April 1945 erinnert.

Das Auswärtige Amt hatte zuvor davon abgeraten, offizielle russische Vertreter zu Weltkriegs-Gedenkveranstaltungen zuzulassen. Begründet wurde das mit der Befürchtung, dass Russland diese Veranstaltungen „instrumentalisieren und mit seinem Angriffskrieg gegen die Ukraine missbräuchlich in Verbindung bringen“ könnte.

@Joerg_UrbanAfD, Fraktionsvorsitzender der AfD im Sächsischen Landtag, fordert:

„Der russische Botschafter Sergej Netschajew soll bei der Gedenkveranstaltung in Torgau teilnehmen und reden dürfen. Im Zweiten Weltkrieg hat die Rote Armee der Sowjetunion den größten Blutzoll zahlen müssen. Das bekannte Bild, auf dem russische und amerikanische Soldaten zu sehen sind, die sich 1945 an der Elbe in Torgau die Hände reichen, ist in die Geschichtsbücher eingegangen.

Wie das Auswärtige Amt davon abraten kann, russische Vertreter zu Weltkriegs-Gedenkveranstaltungen zuzulassen, ist mir völlig unverständlich. Die Geschichtsexperten unseres Außenministeriums sollten die politische Führung in Berlin darüber aufklären, dass sich die von ihnen unterstütze Selenskyj-Regierung der Ukraine auf Vorkämpfer wie Stepan Bandera und Roman Shukhevych beruft, die als rassistische Mörder für schlimmste Taten an Juden, Polen und Deutschen verantwortlich waren.“

The heart of the Gospel is Salvation not social work. If you read the Gospels and thought “wow this Jesus is a really great guy because he’s nice to people” you’ve missed the entire point of the Book and should probably reread it cover to cover 7 times until you get it
