“Just left the U of A waiting room. The entire waiting room is packed with homeless people.

Garbage from food and drinks is scattered everywhere. Their belongings are taking up space all over the ER waiting room. They are sleeping on multiple chairs and stretched out across the floors. At one point, one guy even put his feet on my lap before I got angry.

I personally saw one guy get treated by a doctor, walk out of the emergency room, then come back an hour later and triage himself all over again.

Nurses were constantly calling the same names over and over, and it was the same people sleeping in the chairs. Security would periodically come out and shake them to make sure they were still breathing.

And we wonder why our healthcare system is falling apart. Walk through an emergency room and take a look.

Why is it so filthy? We wonder why people are getting sick. I saw a janitor come through three times with a ride-on cleaning machine, cleaning only where it could reach, and that was it.
