Mayon Volcano started spewing steam and ash plume last January 13, 2018 and alert level number four (4) is currently raised within the 9KM extended danger zone while affected residents are temporarily sheltered in evacuation centers and some classes are still suspended.

As of January 29, 2018, a total of 30 families were given relief items and ACDI offices in Bicol continuously distribute assistance to identified members and their families in the area.

Last January 23, 2018, ACDI MPC through its Pili Branch and Legaspi extenaion office distributed canned goods, rice, water, slippers, mat and face masks to members in the areas affected by the recent eruption of Mayon Volcano in Albay, the most active volcano in the Philippines.
