Today we held the first 2022 #ACEProjectEU meeting of the experts. At the meeting, we learnt details about the upcoming @Saferworld report on preventing and mitigating the risk of arms diversion in Africa and heard more about #SALW research work in South Sudan from our experts.

Today we held the 7th ACE Project meeting of the experts to discuss circulation of illicit arms and ammunition in #BurkinaFaso. At the meeting officials & civil society called for international assistance to support post-delivery marking, tracing of guns & ammunition @Saferworld

(1) A key objective of the #ACEProjectEU is to see the return of small arms and light weapons control on the agenda of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). Yesterday we saw that happen under section 6.1.10 of the Dakar Action Plan #FOCAC2021
