The one question EVERY HSBC Live+ holder has:
Where do I buy Amazon Pay GVs that fetch 10% cashback? ๐
Everyone knows Zepto.
But what ELSE?
My comments and DMs have been flooded with one name: Blinkit.
And YES - Blinkit DOES give 10% cashback. ๐ฅ
BUT it's not the only one.
I purchased โน12,000 worth of Amazon Pay GVs from Blinkit, and confirmed the MCC and 10% cashback with customer care post the purchase.
Merchants I've seen -
โข BLINKIT COMMERCE PVT LTD / GROFERS COM - MCC 5411 โ
โข BLINKIT / GROFERS INDIA PRIVATE - MCC 5411 โ
The community showed up with the rest:
โข Zepto -
The go-to choice for most, almost always fetches 10% cashback. โ
โข MagicPin -
MAGICPIN / CAS*MAGICPIN. โ
AVOID Razorpay*SAMAST TECHNOL / SAMAST TECHNOLOGIES. โ
โข OnPoint -
CAS*ONPOINT (CashFree Payment Gateway), MCC 5310. โ
At the end of the day, it's ALL about the MCC.
Make sure to check the MCC and the 10% cashback eligibility with customer care post the purchase. As always, start SMALL, then go BIG.

Best Gold buying option - savings using credit card #CCGEEK
This is what I did few months back.

I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.
My fellow men, we need to talk about postpartum care.
Before Rumi was born, I read up on postpartum. Hormonal changes, baby blues, sleep deprivation, mood swings (I am thorough, bro). I thought I was reasonably prepared. Yeah, so that was a big misjudgment. I was absolutely NOT prepared.
Turns out reading about this phase and actually living it are not the same thing at all. So I'm not going to pretend I have a solution. Think of this as a note you can come back to when you're in the middle of it and have no idea what you're supposed to do.
1. Put your ego somewhere very, very far away.
A friend told me this before Rumi was born: "For the next few months, destroy your ego. Take everything on the chin." I nodded as I got it. Oh boy, I did not get it.
Your wife has just gone through pregnancy, delivery, physical recovery, a hormonal crash, no sleep and being responsible for another human 24/7. This is not the time to win arguments. There were plenty of moments where I wanted to defend myself or explain what I actually meant. Honestly, most of those moments did not need a defence lawyer.
2. You are the translator between her and the rest of the world.
Biggest learning for me. Parents, in-laws (this needs its own thread), relatives, friends, visitors, phone calls, everyone's opinion on feeding and sleeping and how to hold the baby. All of it should come to you first. You take the hit, you filter it, and only the useful and kind stuff gets to her.
Someone wants to visit at the wrong time? You handle it. A dozen people want updates? You handle it. She is recovering. Don't make her manage everybody else's feelings on top of that.
3. Stop trying to solve everything.
I am always in problem-solving mode, and I have learnt that females hate it.
There were days my wife would cry and neither of us could say why. My default with any problem is "okay, what's wrong, how do we fix it." Terrible strategy here. Sometimes there's nothing to fix. She just needs to get everything out of her head while someone listens without turning it into an action plan. So sit with her. Listen. Hug her. Ask what she needs, and then actually do that thing.
And if the crying doesn't ease off after a couple of weeks, or something just feels off, that's a doctor's job, not yours. Get help.
4. Don't wait to be asked.
This one is straight from my wife. The baby is your job anyway, that doesn't count. Notice her. Get her food. Fill her water bottle. Offer a massage. Take stuff off her plate before she has to assign it to you. And every so often, give her the one thing that basically disappears once there's a newborn in the house: your full attention. Phone away, no baby logistics, just her (I was playing IPL fantasy during this phase and it was a bad decision).
5. Rehearse, if you can.
If you're anything like me, you forget things. Especially at 3am. Nothing on this list works if you only read it once, so go over it now and again before the baby arrives. Be a bit deliberate about it.
Looking back, I think I got "being prepared" wrong. I thought it meant knowing what could happen. What it actually means is remembering all of this at 3am, half asleep, holding a crying baby, while your wife is having one of the worst days of her life.
Trust me, you're going to need it.
One legal way to reduce LTCG tax -
Gift shares or mutual fund units to parents, adult children, or siblings.
When they sell, they can use their 1.25 lakh annual LTCG exemption.
My friend earns โน35 LPA, but one thing he said really made me think.
He says
"I fall under the 30% tax bracket.
If you look at it annually, it almost feels like I am working nearly 4 months of the year just for the government."
At first, I thought he was exaggerating.
But when he explained his perspective, I understood his point.
You work hard all year to earn an income, and a significant portion goes towards taxes.
Then, when you spend the money left after tax, you pay GST on many things.
Earn interest from an FD ?
That interest can also be taxable.
And after all that, whatever is left has to cover
Household expenses
Family responsibilities
Medical and emergencies
Childrenโs education
Investments
Lifestyle expenses
My friend says
"Do not assume I am very much rich just because I earn โน35 lakh a year.
Real wealth is what remains after taxes and expenses, and then grows over time."
And perhaps thatโs why
High Salary and Financial Freedom are not the same thing.
Salary increases
Taxes can increase
Lifestyle increases
Expenses increase
But if savings and investments do not grow at the same pace,
a person can spend their entire life earning a good salary while still struggling to build substantial wealth.
So the real question is not just
"How much do you earn ?"
It is
"How much is left after taxes and expenses, how much of that gets invested,
and how fast is your wealth actually growing ?"

โ ๏ธ To all the people who are considering HSBC Demat account route to maintain TRV for Premier Accountโฆ..
HSBC Demat Account, in its current form, cannot be a substitute for your regular demat account (like Zerodha), because HSBC currently does not offer an associated trading account.
๐ This means that once you transfer your Stocks or ETFs to your HSBC Demat Account, you cannot buy or sell them online like you do with a regular broker.
โณ Selling a stock or ETF, which usually takes just a few seconds through Zerodha or any other trading platform, can take 5โ7 days with HSBC Demat due to the offline process.
There are only two ways to transact:
๐ Option 1: Contact your HSBC Relationship Manager (RM) and place an offline buy/sell request.
๐ Option 2: Transfer your Stocks/ETFs back from HSBC Demat to your regular demat account (like Zerodha). For this, youโll need to fill the physical Delivery Instruction Slip (DIS), courier or hand it over to your RM, who will then initiate the transfer.
โณ Both processes generally take around 5โ7 days to complete.
๐ก Earlier, HSBC had a tie-up with ICICI Securities, which allowed customers to buy and sell Stocks/ETFs instantly through an online trading account. That partnership ended last year.
HSBC representatives have informed that they are working on bringing back an online trading facility, but there is no confirmed timeline yet.
๐ Most people (including myself) who have chosen the Demat route to maintain the Total Relationship Value (TRV) for the HSBC Premier Account have transferred only that portion of their Stocks/ETF portfolio which they do not intend to sell in the near future and are comfortable keeping locked in an account where selling may take 5โ7 days.
So, please understand these operational limitations before transferring your investments. Make an informed decision based on your own requirements, and if needed, consult your financial advisor before taking any such step.

HDFC ERGO Optima Secure+ is definitely one of the strongest health insurance plans to consider in today's market.
Why?
Earlier, the policy had a limit on how much your coverage could grow. But with Optima Secure+, that limitation has been removed. Instead, you now get an Infinite Benefit, where your base sum insured increases by 100% every policy year without an upper cap, as long as the policy continues.
On top of that, you get:
โ 2X coverage from Day 1 through the Secure Benefit.
โ Unlimited Restore, which replenishes your base sum insured for subsequent admissible claims in the same policy year.
โ Protect Benefit, where listed non-medical consumables are covered.
โ No room rent restrictions.
โ No disease-wise sub-limits.
โ No mandatory co-payment for eligible policyholders.
For people looking for additional protection against specified major illnesses, there's also an optional Serious Illness Booster, which provides extra coverage for covered critical illnesses.
Another major advantage is the 6-zone premium structure. Depending on where you live, your premium may be lower than before, making the plan much more competitively priced than earlier versions.
Previously, many people felt HDFC ERGO was expensive. But with the new pricing, the premium difference compared with many other top insurers has reduced significantly. In many cases, the difference between a โน15 lakh and โน20 lakh base sum insured may be only around โน1,000โโน1,500, though this varies based on age, location, family composition, and underwriting.
Compare it with other good plans based on your needs, disclose all medical history honestly, and then make an informed decision.
โ Please note that this is not a paid promotion, nor I am suggesting this plan. 100s of people ask me to share more about insurance, hence asked my insurance advisor to share about these more.
HDFC Ergo's newest health cover, Optima Secure+, has a benefit that doesn't have a stopping point.
A thread on how it actually works, with real numbers ๐งต
HS-BC Premier x TRV ๐ฐ
Guys, if you are chasing Rs.50 Lacs TRV for HS-BC Premier, hereโs something very useful ๐
๐ If you have purchased your Mutual Fund units through Zerodha Coin app, you can simply transfer them to HS-BC and those will be considered as part of your TRV for Premier Account, even if those are Direct Mutual Funds. โ
๐ When you invest in Direct Mutual Funds through Zerodha Coin app, your MF units are held in Demat form.
๐ Those Demat MF units can simply be transferred to your HS-BC Demat account using the physical Depository Instruction Slip (DIS) method. It is as simple as moving shares from Zerodha Demat to HS-BC Demat. ๐
๐The entire process took just 4 days including DIS courier transit time. The value reflected in HS-BC Demat next day.
๐ If anyone is looking for maintaining the HS-BC Premier TRV through the Mutual Fund route and doesnโt want to go for Regular MF, this is probably the easiest way. ๐
โณ๏ธ Tried & Tested Already โณ๏ธ
And itโs working ๐
๐ฅ Want the complete step-by-step process?
Just comment โTRVโ below ๐๐
If there is enough interest, Iโll share a detailed step-by-step guide on how to transfer your Zerodha Demat Mutual Funds/shares to HS-BC Demat and get them counted towards Premier TRV. ๐
