@innesmck I don’t like the term but it seems clear that films and books have permit basically the same kind of interaction between themselves, and games don’t. Quake and dear Esther allow you different ways of playing the game. And it seems (even Quake and Halo, despite the same genre)

@anotherpanacea @add_hawk I think just... beet sugar (or cane sugar) used to play this role - but there are taxes on "added sugar" now so they add apple juice (which is cheap + high sugar)
