In a landmark trial, a Guinean court has convicted the former president Moussa Dadis Camara, among others, for a brutal 2009 stadium massacre.
This significant trial should inspire further national justice efforts globally.
Exclusion of the #NgokDinka from the #Abyei area in the 22 December 2024 elections is poised to significantly impact the final status of #Abyei. @SouthSudanGov decision implies an official non-recognition of the Ngok Dinka of Abyei as S.Sudanese. What are your thoughts #SSOX
The SPLM-N, led by Abdel Aziz al-Hilu, has rejected a Sudanese army proposal to link humanitarian aid delivery to South Kordofan and Blue Nile with a ceasefire. In a meeting with the Sudanese army in South Sudan, the armed group instead demanded that aid be delivered to all regions of Sudan simultaneously and without discrimination.

Agok health facilities, schools and air stripes are occupied by #SSPDF that were deployed to the area to protect civilians during the #Ngok and twic Dinka conflict in the #Abyei disputed area. This needs to be addressed #SSOX

@USMissionJuba @JacklineNasiwa Leer County conflict could have been prevented had the @SouthSudanGov listened and addressed the concerns of "possible attacks" voiced by several generals from SSPDF and SPLAM-IO as well as by Leer County`s civilians after the several defections and changes of armed groups.
@WaniMichael57 What happening in Abyei is unfortunate the involvement of the SSPDF divisions 3 and 11 and SSPM/A add complexity and further exacerbate the situation. The SSGOV's quietness despite atrocities being committed creates hopelessness regarding the final status of Abyei.
