Due to the ongoing effects of the Matt’s Creek fire, Amherst County Public Schools will have a remote learning day on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Students and families will receive more information from their building principal this afternoon.

ACHS is hosting a virtual screening of the documentary Screenagers Next Chapter: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience on Tuesday, October 17th at 7 pm for parents and caregivers. ACHS students will have an opportunity to watch the documentary on Tuesday, October 24th.

Due to damage and power outages caused by the storm on Friday, June 17th , all summer school programs for Amherst County Public Schools will be closed on Monday, June 20, 2022. All twelve month employees should report as normal. We will continue to keep you

According to reports from the National Weather Service, we will be experiencing severe weather periodically throughout the day. As a precaution, ACPS will be dismissing early: Secondary schools at noon and Elementary schools at 1:00pm. All after school activities are canceled.

Due to wintery road conditions Amherst County Public Schools will be operating on a 2 hour delay on Monday, February 14, 2022. We will continue to evaluate road conditions in the early morning and will adjust the schedule accordingly if needed.
