A former Somaliland minister says Ilhan Omar leaked details of a House Foreign Affairs Committee meeting to Somali leaders while she was on the Committee.

Ali Hassan Muhammad, former Minister of Information, posted that Omar visited the region in late 2022, shared information about a meeting with Somaliland’s president, and pushed Somali leaders to act against Somaliland before U.S. ties strengthened. Fighting broke out in February 2023. Hundreds were killed and thousands displaced.

Omar previously served on the Foreign Affairs Committee and held a clearance.

If this is accurate Ilhan won't just be deported, she will be behind bars.

This is treasonous.

You're right. I am just pondering at what point that the Bears should dip a bit to make runs. Generally, they should be keeping cheap players by keeping draft capital so that they extend their window with a young talent QB and HC pairing. I think that it's important to strike at value during this window so if you got a good deal it might be worth it in this budget league. I don't know that the Bears can win a SB with their current D line and outside CB situation. Simmons alone might change that.

I would do it for a 1 plus with the contract and lateness of bears picks and their window. It's not like hockey or baseball where first rd picks have to develop for years in the minors, but eventually like with the Blackhawks, they needed to start to convert that draft capital to immediate production. Unless there's something I don't know, like injury or bad production etc., I'd probably do it for even a 1 and 2 especially if it's a 2 the year after

He's a scheme fit that can line up in other schemes as well 1-5 at least at 6'4" 305. He's more of a 3tech for us but he's a multi year all pro and a 4 time pro bowler. He's a top DT overall and will get consistent disruption that we don't get in the interior. Grady has played better as of late, and he's a 3tech, but Simmons might be the best DT out there. He has 4 sacks as an interior lineman. I think that he's going for more than Q Williams who went for a player, mazi smith, and the equivalent to 2 2s. Simmons is better than Williams and is locked in under contract that the a titans are helping to pay. We can speculate but it's what 2 teams are willing to give up to get what respectively. I am personally setting my value for this player and contract for picks a little higher than you. What the titans, Bears, and other teams think remains to be seen.
