Can today’s GUI agents reliably navigate mobile apps?

Introduce AppSim-Bench: controllable simulated apps that preserve real-world UI workflows, enabling reproducible evaluation and RL-friendly training environment.🥳

Across 557 tasks spanning 17 apps, we evaluated 19 GUI agents. The best model achieved just 50.27% accuracy, dropping to 33.33% on workflows requiring 11+ steps. And 28.55% of tasks remained unsolved by any agent.

💡Takeaway: understanding the screen is only part of the challenge. Reliable reasoning across long, complex workflows remains a major bottleneck.
