@hamish_keith Vivid memory of the event, also the aftermath. Was up the coast in the epicentre of the worst hit area. Picked up by chopper, houses & sheds completely under water. Road cut off for months. We were using packhorses to get to town for supplies. Choppers helped for a while.

Big news today with the signing and launch of the Ireland New Zealand 🇳🇿🇮🇪 Joint Research Initiative. We have committed €6 million in stage 1 (more planned) to develop solutions for cutting agricultural greenhouse gases and strengthening our pasture-based farming systems
