Slop doesn't equate bad. Slop is just slop. Mechanically sure the games play alright. But they're definitively slop. Much like Pokemon. Pump out the same thing year on year. Never innovate or experiment. They grow stale with time and the only ones who stick around are ones who will play anything that lets them point and shoot or people caught in a nostalgia trap. This isn't even taking into account the scummy practices they do on top of that. AAA doesn't equate bad but it's one damn loud warning bell to scrutinize. Especially when you take into account the cost of the game for the value.
