They opened the apps to a customer base that would never “tip”

And drivers are so desperate they will work for $2-$5.

The apps profit from the confusion and ignorance.

Also it’s not a job, it’s a hustle

The ONLY way a driver profits from completing a task with their personal resources —is after the person requesting the service pays for it (tip)

Independent contractors are responsible for their own business operations.

They profit, the driver keeps trying.

If the customer believes they can receive service without paying for it (tipping) they continue to use the app—DD profits

It is earned income for performing a REQUESTED, but nonessential task.

Drivers are not employees.

They are independent contractors using their personal resources in exchange for a tip, or payment for services requested.

Since it’s so socially engrained, many people have celebrated their racial experience as heritage. It seems heritage is what is being discussed.
