Interesting decision given @whocaresscot are being investigated for some very serious things. Have they been transparent about this, with THEawards or members?
We’re delighted to announce that our charity partner for this year’s #THEAwards is @whocaresscot. Read more about the brilliant work they do for care experienced young people in Scotland and beyond here - https://t.co/cGMbuNFFBJ
This account has been quiet for a while because things have been moving...people who have previously been silenced are having to be listened to.
Let’s hope @whocaresscot have the decency to be transparent about their shortcomings 👀
Please state to be anonymous when filling out the form if you have any concerns.
We thank Laura for her outstanding leadership & determination for all voices to be heard at all levels. Her actions are the radicalness People with experience of care need.
Thanks for being you
Please see the picture below for what the charity regulators role is.
It is sad that wcs have been repressing voice but the reference code MI/INQ/19-0085 will allow issues to be heard from an independent investigator.

We are happy to see this event going ahead, but don’t understand why this is going ahead and the listen and learn event was cancelled.
We are aware of nine people who didn’t sign up out of fear of the repercussions. It is vital that these members are heard.
Community Radicals (Glasgow) is about to start up again after a short break this summer, please join us at the WC?S National Office on Thursday 15th August from 5.30-8.30pm.
If you're planning on coming along or have any questions please email [email protected].
@whocaresscot Members are not a homogenous group. We all have different experiences and views and all should feel heard.
Many members were promised an opportunity to air their concerns in a safe constructive space. It is devastating that this has been ripped away from them for a second time
We are sadden to receive the below email by @whocaresscot
This event was Promoted as a membership review.
What is needed is a management/decision making review.
Especially when claiming to be member lead but Repressing the voice’s that seek improvements.
#Care2care?
We are looking forward to the 5th @whocaresscot
It’s unfortunate about the timescale it has took for members concerns to be heard but we are grateful that
#wedonthavetowait
Much longer.
A reminder about independent mental health support on site.
@whocaresscot a truly member-led organisation wouldn’t cancel a meeting for members with four days notice for a second time running.
The same members who are ready to support @whocaresscot to improve have been let down again

‘We don’t fail at that’.
Lots of members are sharing failures in various encounters with @whocaresscot at all levels. A denial to accept the truth that failure happens because people are messy creates a culture in which it is okay to cover things up.
Any organisations on sibling contact able to offer any information to
@Demijo1xicloud1
All and any information received would be helpful.
See the thread.
Thanks in advance
Some people might say I’m “lucky” I get to see her at all right now but I really don’t see what’s so lucky about being given permission to see my sister for an hour a month in a contact centre, if you count all my contact, I see my baby sister for half a day a year,
@Demijo1xicloud1 @siblings2gether@BobDorisSNP@scotgov I’m sure he will demi, we’ve been told he is a good guy.
We know @NicolaSturgeon has serious given commitment to reviewing the system so hopefully in due course you’ll be contacted, people are aware siblings are suffering the loss of a relationship so🤞 Help is out there
@Demijo1xicloud1 @siblings2gether Hi @BobDorisSNP
Could you give you’re assistance to a constituent of yours.
sibling separation is something @scotgov acknowledge is needing reviewed when being involved in the care system.
Please read this thread and dm @Demijo1xicloud1 with any help moving forward? Thanks

If board members are treated with such disrespect you can believe their are numerous others that are too, which is the case.
Hiding behind good deeds an organisation does and failing to treat all members with equality love & respect isn’t a “success”.
