This nation was founded on the principle that there are no kings in America.
Each of us is equal before the law. No one is above it.
Not even the President of the United States.
With today’s Supreme Court decision on presidential immunity, that fundamentally changed.
BREAKING: Nuclear bombshell hits MAGA world as Maine officially bars Donald Trump from its state primary ballot — making it the second state in the country to do so over his insurrectionism.
This is code red for Trump's 2024 campaign...
Maine's Secretary of State Shenna Bellows made the decision to bar Trump because the 14th Amendment to the Constitution explicitly states that insurrectionist cannot hold political office.
"I do not reach this conclusion lightly," wrote Bellows wrote. “Democracy is sacred … I am mindful that no Secretary of State has ever deprived a presidential candidate of ballot access based on Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment. I am also mindful, however, that no presidential candidate has ever before engaged in insurrection.”
Bellows' decision will almost certainly be appealed.

BREAKING: Donald Trump drowns in Friday bad news as his former minion Kenneth Chesebro — a crooked attorney who helped plot the 2020 fake elector scheme — pleads guilty in the Georgia election subversion case.
The stunning plea deal with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is a nightmare scenario for Trump because it means that Chesebro will testify in future trials in the sprawling case.
Who knows what he knows?
Chesebro is pleading guilty to the felony crime of conspiracy to commit filing false documents. Prosecutors are recommending 5 years probation, $5,000 in restitution, and a written apology.
The fact that Chesebro will testify against his fellow MAGA criminals is the big takeaway. This is EXACTLY how mafia organizations go down — and we know Donald Trump is the kingpin sitting at the top.
His time is coming.

BREAKING: Federal Judge Tanya Chutkan drops bombshell on indicted 2024 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, slaps him with a devastating gag order and publicly blasts him in open court.
According to CNN, Judge Chutkan declared today, “Mr. Trump is a criminal defendant. He is facing four felony charges. He is under the supervision of the criminal justice system and he must follow his conditions of release. He does not have the right to say and do exactly what he pleases.
Then he asked Trump’s attorney, “Do you agree with that?”
Trump’s lawyer responded, “100%.”
Then Chutkan declared, “When you start to use a word like ‘thug’ to describe Special Counsel Jack Smith, who is doing his job, that wouldn’t be allowed by any other criminal defendant. Just because the defendant is running a political campaign does not allow him to do whatever he wants. If the message Mr. Trump wants to express is ‘my prosecution is politically motivated,’” he can do so without using “highly charged language.”
Judge Chutkan didn’t stop there, declaring that Trump’s “troubling” posts may incite harm and violence against Special Counsel Jack Smith and his team.
Judge Chutkan specifically pointed to a Truth Social post in which the former president referred to Jack Smith as a “thug,” asking Trump’s attorney, “In what kind of case do you think it would be appropriate for a criminal defendant to call the prosecutor a thug and stay on the streets?”
At this point, Trump’s attorney told Judge Chutkan that Trump has no choice but to attack Jack Smith because gems fighting “oppression” and “totalitarianism,” but Judge Chutkan didn’t let him get away with it, cutting off Trump’s lawyer, and telling him to “tone down” his hysterical language.
Trump’s attorney responded that Trump didn’t need anymore restrictions because the prior restrictions were “working, but Judge Chutkan literally laughed in his face and him that he better “keep politics out” of her “courtroom.”
To make matters even worse for Trump, Judge Chutkan ended today’s hearing by letting Trump know that that the trial date set for early March won’t change: “This trial will not yield to the election cycle, and we will not revisit the trial date.”
BRAVO, Judge Chutkan!👏👏👏

BREAKING: Donald Trump gets horrible news as a coalition of prominent media outlets formally requests that the judge overseeing his historic election interference case allow cameras in the courtroom.
Normally, public cameras are banned in federal court. Of course, this is not a normal criminal case and an incredibly compelling case can be made that Americans have a right to watch every second of it.
"We have never, in the history of our Nation, had a federal criminal trial that warrants audiovisual access more than the federal prosecution of former President Trump for allegedly trying to subvert the will of the people," reads the filed application.
"The prosecution of a former president, now a presidential contender, on charges of subverting the electoral process, presents the strongest possible circumstances for continuous public oversight of the justice system," it goes on.
The media coalition includes heavy-hitters like The New York Times, Univision, and The Associated Press. They argue that the ban on cameras is based on "outdated and long disproven views about recording and broadcasting trials."
Crucially, they argue that a broadcast will contribute towards "helping to secure public confidence in the outcome of the case.”
What do you think? Should it be televised?

BREAKING: President Biden strikes a powerful blow for the working class as his Department of Labor announces a proposal to restore and extend mandatory overtime protections to 3.6 million salaried workers.
The historic move would guarantee overtime pay for most salaried workers earning less than $1,059 a week, which come out to about $55,000 annually.
"For too long, many low-paid salaried workers have been denied overtime pay, even though they often work long hours and perform much of the same work as their hourly counterparts," said Jessica Looman, a top official at the Department of Labor.
This is EXACTLY the kind of kitchen table policies that Democrats need to support. Meanwhile, Republicans are fixated on pointless culture war arguments meant to distract voters.
Acting Labor Secretary Julie Su heralded the announcement with inspiring words—
"For over 80 years, a cornerstone of workers’ rights in this country is the right to a 40-hour workweek, the promise that you get to go home after 40 hours or you get higher pay for each extra hour that you spend laboring away from your loved ones," she said.
"I’ve heard from workers again and again about working long hours, for no extra pay, all while earning low salaries that don’t come anywhere close to compensating them for their sacrifices," Su went on.
She pointed out that these new rules fit perfectly within the framework of "Bidenomics," which is all about empowering the poor and middle class instead of giving massive tax cuts to the super-rich.
No sane person can argue with this policy. It will stop employers from brutally exploiting American and make it easier for the hardest working members of our society to carve out a life for themselves and their families.
Joe Biden is the pro-worker candidate!

@NYCtoCO @Travis_in_Flint @atensnut Trump sympathizers rarely seem to think beyond the surface level, so it’s no wonder they remain oblivious to being hoodwinked by a group of thugs and bandits not acting in their best interests.
I promised we’d crack down on wealthy billionaires, not the middle class.
With a 15% minimum tax on billion-dollar corporations and $0 tax increase for families making under $400,000 – that's exactly what we're doing.
I’m absolutely confident that, just as they did in 2020, the American people will again vote in record numbers and make it clear that democracy is a value that defines us and unites us as Americans.
The stakes couldn’t be higher.
Exactly one week ago, we launched our application where folks could apply for student loan debt relief. Over 22 million people provided the information we need to consider them for relief.
The response from Republican officials?
Sue the federal government and block that relief.
