Looking forward to a great evening and seeing all the wonderful groups working in Sussex.
Everyone has the right to a good life as they get older.
But far too many people face huge barriers, and as a result are living in bad housing, dealing with poverty and and made to feel invisible in their communities and society.
Lets make ageing better.
📣 Shout it louder for the people at the back. Older people who have fallen do not need “gentle” exercise. They need effective exercise. #fallsprevention#falls#evidencebasedpractice
We offer a range of classes and gym services in several venues. Our clients are always supervised by Level 4 qualified instructors to ensure safe, effective and enjoyable exercise to manage their health conditions.
@CooperativeBank Is there a quick/easy way of downloading a year's worth of statements? It's taking forever clicking through onto every single one as if you try to download from the link it just saves the website. Woe betide you accidentally press back as it logs you out!
Active Worthing has been awarded £10,000 of National Lottery funding from Sport England’s Together Fund, which aims to tackle inequalities in activity levels through working with its partners to reach those most in need. We are really looking forward to supporting our community.
We are now running at Worthing High School. For those joining us this evening we are here until 7pm. Enter the school where it says "Millennium Hall", then follow the Active Worthing signs to the gym. Bella, Marie and Sandie will be there to assist you!
We're delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for this year’s @Charity_Awards for our 'age-positive image library' project! 🎉
We're immensely proud of the impact our image library continues to have.
We are so pleased we were asked to be a part of this. Our members had a great time at their photoshoot and we're proud of being a part of improving positive representation.
We’ve worked with @GetYrselfActive at @DisRightsUK and updated our age-positive image library with 300+ photographs of older and Disabled people getting active!
The collection, which is free to use, hopes to create a positive shift in attitudes.
