ACT Secretary General Ntandokazi Ngoma-Mbutuma, ACT delegates and members visited Lephola Secondary School following the municipality’s disconnection of water due to an outstanding account.
In a formal letter, the School Governing Body has committed to paying a certain amount by 18 May 2026, yet learners and educators remain without access to water — a basic human right essential for safe and dignified learning. Over 1,500 learners are forced to share just 4 toilets, whose condition is unstable and unsafe.
This situation is unacceptable. No school should be forced to operate under such conditions. ACT will escalate this matter to all relevant authorities and ensure urgent restoration of water and full accountability.

Political momentum cannot be manufactured. It grows where the people are. You cannot defeat a leader who knows the ground.
ACT’s resurgence is people-driven.
