Last week we started inviting the first people from our waiting list to @Actual_Chat,
an AI-supported 1:1 messaging platform for gentler, clearer, happier conversations with your most important relationships 🕊️
We're testing our beta, rolling it out via https://t.co/V5oNFcIoZ0.
I like Ozy's taxonomy of the five basic types of relationship problems:
1. stupid problems
2. basic incompatibilities
3. problems that are actually a different kind of problem
4. horrifying soul-sucking messes
5. terrible people

I'm thinking of starting a series of short videos where I explain what we're finding out about communication, relationships and technology at @Actual_Chat....
"The main problem with sarcasm seems to stem from the fact that the recipient doesn’t really have good options for how to respond."

“How to Deal With Sarcasm in Messaging” by Actual https://t.co/Iyv8UPkkS7
I wish they would teach how to communicate in school. Such as how to
- give and receive feedback (good and bad)
- positive reframing
- non violent communication
- creating positive feedback loops
- difference between facts and emotions
- eye contact, intonation and pausing
From my professional POV:
- people who send many short messages but switch to perfectly punctuated monologues when angry or infatuated
- and people who generally send long messages but switch to many short messages when angry or infatuated

"Don’t forget: when it comes to apologies, no gesture can be too touchy! If this person is really important to you, do show it!" 🤗

Anyone involved in digital — i.e., any — courtship in 2019 will cite this “flow and ebb” phenomenon as both a digital playground promising excitement and pleasure, and an endless source or stress [and] anxiety...

@LiveWorkPlayDxb I've recently heard from multiple people that sarcasm [in messaging] was a happiness level lowering factor in their life in general.
I'm quite curious about this, may write my next piece for @Actual_Chat about this!

I've recently heard from multiple people that sarcasm in messaging was a life worsening factor in their lives, in general and across types of relationships.
We have some stuff on this. Should I write the next @Actual_Chat piece about sarcasm?
