Dang this @NBA on @NBC broadcast is amateur hour. Got crazy audio issues and a camera angle with a foam finger covering the screen. At least it's watchable for the masses and not hidden away on @amazon prime though.

@_SportsDiva35_@Don_K_Williams NJCAA is not considering anything of the like, NJCAA D3 has discussed adding a third year of eligibility, no appetite for taking years away.
@Don_K_Williams It's the 6th year that's valuable. That allows them to earn a grad degree. Academics were at the forefront with a redshirt year and grad transfer year, now I don't know what they're about.
@JUCOadvocate They need to stop fighting the SAs and let the next era begin. They're doing everything, but support SAs, time based eligibility hurts both young and older SAs, messing with the basketball brackets, lobbying Congress because those folks always make things better lol
@JUCOadvocate This would eliminate the possibility of athletics scholarships covering graduate degrees. Terrible policy from a student-athlete centered viewpoint. Saying you're about academics and for the benefit of the SA is lip service if your policies don't reflect that.

UPDATE: The NCAA DI Cabinet will hold a further discussion on age-based eligibility later today. This idea would essentially eliminate redshirts and give college athletes five years of eligibility starting when you graduate high school or when you turn 19. Whichever is earlier.
Good luck to @QueensUniv tonight in their first March Madness game in the history of the program! They gave me my start in the athletics industry as an intern and I'm excited to see how far they've come.
