@OilersNation Yes, but this happens every year to multiple teams. Projecting what 18 year olds will develop into is a crapshoot 80% of the time.

@oilingoal Different defensive environments no? I’ve wanted to comb through the analytics and see the differences just haven’t had the time and sources…we probably would have stunted his development by bringing him up too early…Detroit probably thought Cossa would be better by now?

@JonathanWillis @oilingoal This happens all the time…crapshoot projecting what 18 year olds will do…if everyone “knew” about JW, 8 other teams had a chance at him as well. Cossa went 15th that year and has played 1 game…missing Johnston that year hurts more because Coffey was telling Wright to get him
