@COrepKdeGraaf When we tried recalling Heidi Henkel from Broomfield city council last year, a real estate developer from Boulder sent $4500 to her campaign to keep her in office. Gotta keep those juicy apartments going!
@TaylorDRhodes2A So now that it's a complete Republican sweep at the federal level, will they be able to save the blue states from all of the unconstitutional infringements?
@J_Kaminski95@BroomfieldPD I invite you to read crime statistics and see what the crime rates are for apartments, especially subsidized, affordable apartments.
@J_Kaminski95@BroomfieldPD Apartments are one thing. Subsidized, affordable housing is a whole different animal. This has failed time and time again. Section 8, projects, housing choice voucher programs. When has this ever created a thriving, clean, safe community?

Adam Gobetti is a scientist who was running for city council last year. He does a good job of explaining the problems that the city is facing.
@J_Kaminski95@BroomfieldPD I didn't say it is a ghetto present tense, I said that it is turning into a ghetto future tense. The high density apartments that are going up along Wadsworth are one of the precursors to a ghetto.
@BroomfieldPD The pride flags were not a part of the grounds for recall. Heidi, Todd, and other city leaders have been pushing for homeless camps, low income housing, destroying open space, creating a $120Mdeficit in the city budget, a broken water and sewer system, decaying buildings, etc.
@J_Kaminski95 My family is from Compton, it used to look like Broomfield. The crime rate in Broomfield is going up, and city leadership is copying the same practices of cities that have become ghettos.
