Some on the Labour Left are looking on cautiously as Andy Burnham assembles his team. As I wrote yesterday (see below), there is concern within the Socialist Campaign Group of MPs around the potential that Burnham might give a job to Josh Simons after his involvement in the Labour Together scandal. One source said it's a "bugbear" for the left of the party.

Other sources have been privately critical of the appointment of former cabinet minister, James Purnell as Burnham's chief of staff. One described it as a "red flag".

BREAKING: HE'S LOST HIS MIND! Trump is now ARRESTING people, including an Olympic cyclist, for just TOUCHING his precious Reflecting Pool and deploying National Guard troops to guard it from imaginary antifa vandals!

This is starting to get scary…

On Truth Social, Trump declared that “The United States Park Police have arrested multiple individuals for vandalizing our nation's magnificent Reflecting Pool. Who would do such a thing? These are very serious crimes having to do with the destruction of National Monuments. Years in jail!”

While giving no details about the arrests, reporters and eyewitnesses were able to discover that citations were being issued for simply *touching* the Reflecting Pool.

David Hearn, an Olympic cyclist, was finishing a bike ride and went to check out the Pool to see what all the fuss was about. He touched his fingers to the water to see what it felt like, and found himself ARRESTED on a misdemeanor charge of destruction of government property.

“I didn’t vandalize anything,” Hearn said. “I didn’t destroy or break or peel anything. By the time I realized what was going on, I was being put in handcuffs.”
This isn’t funny anymore. This is the stupidest tyranny that the world has possibly ever seen. Arresting someone for TOUCHING A POOL and then claiming they were destroying it?

Donald Trump is losing his mind, and he’s growing more and more authoritarian by the day.

As a working paramedic literally running calls on people in heart failure after they took Covid vaccines you can not convince me that those shots saved any lives.
Every patient I run that took the shots say they contracted Covid multiple times after taking the shots, and now they are dying anyway. From heart problems, rapid cancer, and strokes.

For 161 years, Juneteenth has been a day of remembrance for the freedom that was delayed. It is also a celebration of the joy and resilience that flourished despite that delay.

The contributions of African Americans, whose struggle for freedom shaped our nation, are immeasurable. Yet too many Black families continue to bear the brunt of an affordability crisis that has pushed them out of the neighborhoods and communities they've built.

True freedom has a tangible impact on daily life: the ability to afford housing, earn a living wage, put food on the table, support a family, and create a future for generations to come.

As we celebrate today, we must recommit ourselves to ensuring this freedom is fully realized.
