Orbital Engineering Lab v0.32 is out!
The core simulation engine and the RPO Trainer are now implemented in Rust. OEL is now much faster and the game will play smoother.
This update also enables custom force plugins for numerical propagation.
Installing this version will automatically create a one click launcher for the RPO Trainer on your computer.

I’m starting to think the SaaSpocalypse is still coming. It’s just a matter of needing the right autists to start vibe coding the subjects they are experts in.
Sixth update to OpenAI problem #109 (integer multiplication): we are now past 2^-15.
κ > 2⁻¹⁵ (tightened from κ = 2⁻¹⁸²)
The exact witness is 3.667 × 10⁻⁵, about 2.4 fold over our previous 1.548 × 10⁻⁵, and a 2¹⁶⁷ fold improvement over the original OAI result.
Both interchange certificates and the full assembly are checked in Lean's kernel.
So I did some research and it turns out that this is exactly what the proof means. The O(nlog^(1-10^-13)n) finding is really small but the proof leaves it open for faster solutions. Give me an O(n) FFT!
Funny story that I probably shouldn’t post yet, but fuck it.
I went to the doctor today because I’ve had a small bump on my neck for the past week.
The doctor looked at it and ordered blood work and originally an ultrasound.
A few hours later the doctor calls me and says that he’s pretty sure it’s Mono but he wants me to get a CT scan to rule out Lymphoma.
At that point I thought Mono was only transmitted through kissing. (I now know otherwise)
So I reply to the doctor: “Are you telling me that either my Fiancé is cheating or I have Cancer?”
Anyway, hopefully it’s just Mono.
It’s insane that I go from this app where I’m constantly learning new ways to use AI and feel like a novice, to work where everyone thinks AI is still a chat bot and I’m the expert.
It’s amazing how quickly my day evolved from saying “Qwen 3.8 27B is free on open router right now” to being tasked with setting up an offline local AI model for the unit.
The wing command chief (E9) of USAFA just saluted me. He’s probably been serving longer than I’ve been alive. I feel like I just committed a war crime.
