The ACSHS Academic Team is taking 3 teams of competitors to the Sumner County Invitational NAQT Tournament today at Gallatin High School in Gallatin, TN. 38 teams from KY and TN will be there today.

The ACSHS Academic Team traveled today to compete in the WCTE PBS Academic Bowl in Cookeville, TN today. After losing our first match to Harriman High School we won our second against York Agricultural Institute. We return to compete again tomorrow morning.

In Round 2, ACS defeats Metcalfe County in an overtime thriller 5-3. For HS quick recall if there is a tie at the end of regulation, the score is wiped and the first team to 5 points wins.

ACSHS Academic Team traveled to Warren East High School tonight. Varsity and JV both got wins. Varsity won 12-10 and JV won 9-8. Next game is Thursday at South Warren.

District Governor's Cup results continued: Emma Gammons placed 4th in Composition. Adrian Vander Stroom placed 5th in Composition.

District Governor's Cup results: The FPS team tied for 1st. Cole Meador placed 4th in Math. Blayne Wheeler placed 1st in Science. Quinn Hartman placed 4th in Science. Aidan Davis placed 2nd in Social Studies and 4th in Language Arts. Adleigh Edwards placed 5th in Language Arts.

ACS Academic Team was back in action tonight at home against Franklin-Simpson. Varsity got the win with final score 27 to 6. JV got a win with a score 8 to 7. Freshmen also got the win 21 to 3.

Elementary students should not be taking standardized tests because testing becomes the focus of education instead of learning. We take away their creative genius and excitement of learning, playing, & creating. We develop test takers instead of problem solvers and innovators.
