"I got asked a question in the 93rd minute by one of the punters, not the boy who took the ball to the face vs Southampton, he shouted out 'why do you do it?'. I've got to say for 10 seconds I was scratching my head and I thought why do I do it? Then the roar at the final whistle told me why I do it and why we all do it and why we all come to follow our team regardless of league position, for those moments. I've had a lot of moments like that, we've all had a lot of moments like that, and the hard part is trying to recreate that but I've got to say the players gave everything for that shirt today and everybody in the ground saw that. I said to them afterwards 'don't kid me, don't kid the punters, that's the bare minimum what we need to produce'. Watford are a difficult side because they've got some talented individuals, they've had a couple of bits where maybe they'll feel unfortunate not to get something out of the game. We've had some chances to take the game away from them but when the final whistle went I think not just me, I think for everybody, it was why they go and watch football on a Saturday afternoon and why they support the club they love."
