Finally out!!
VGluT3 amacrine cells suppress ON DSGCs when the visual field moves at high speeds. Beyond that, VGluT3 really likes fast motion, and is tuned to it for full-field visual stimuli.

Some of us have decided to read text messages sent from the last moments of people’s lives in Israel. Yes, this is disturbing and heartbreaking, but it’s something I have decided to do in hopes it can continue to convey the depth of pain and suffering the Jewish people and the Israeli population are experiencing as we defend our right to exist. #TheLastMessage #HamasisISIS
Just found out my friend got murdered in his house together with his wife and all his kids. He was a very good man who helped anybody as a principle, even if you weren't close with whatever you might need. A real Kibbutznik. I am broken. Everybody around me getting similar news.
Wenxin Ma & @Wei_Li_Vision from the @NatEyeInstitute’s Retinal Neurophysiology Section transplanted human microglia cells into mouse retina to create a model for testing treatments for eye diseases like #AMD.

The perceived motion of a stationary floor, resulting in a loss of balance.
Possibly a "visual-vestibular conflict." when the visual system interprets moving patterns as motion, while the vestibular system does not detect corresponding motion cues
Only announced it during conferences, but I am super excited to start my lab in January 2023 in the excellent @UMDBiology, and as part of the @bbiumd. The lab will continue working on retinal development and visual processing in #zebrafish. Come join us! Hiring at all levels.
