UK university sport is back in 2025! 💥

Later today, hundreds of sports teams will take to courts and pitches on campuses across the UK, marking their long-awaited return since the winter break.

With several sports leagues nearing their conclusions, excitement is building for the decisive second half of the season, where knockout cups and tournaments will soon determine this year’s National Champions! 🏆

From playing another season of college sport to earning a master’s degree in just one year, there are countless reasons why our students choose to pursue a postgraduate experience in the UK. 🇬🇧

Earlier this month, former Play Overseas athlete @BjelkoBrooke returned to the UK to attend her graduation ceremony, picking up her master’s degree in Applied Child Psychology and marking the close of an incredibly successful chapter.

During her time in England, the former @Bryantwbball center was dominant on the court, earning prestigious accolades such as BUCS Premier North Defensive Player of the Year and WBBL Most Improved Player awards.

Since completing her studies, Brooke has continued to build on her promising career and is now playing professionally in Germany with the Metropol Ladies in the Damen Basketball Bundesliga!

@TheSummitLeague's 21-22 conference leader in blocks will arrive in the UK next month to play another season of college basketball with her new university and work towards her master’s degree in Marketing. 🏀🎓

MARIAM IS PARIS BOUND! ✈️🇫🇷

We are thrilled to announce that former Play Overseas athlete and @TexasTFXC graduate, Mariam Abdul-Rashid, is set to compete in her first ever Olympic Games! 🌟

A UK University graduate in 2020, Mariam will soon be racing on the world's biggest stage in Paris, France, going for Olympic gold in the 100m Hurdles and the 4x100m relay, proudly representing Team Canada. 🇨🇦
