They think their own customers can afford it, and if a much lighter cost apply only to the pharma trade, which represents only a small proportion of their final products. It is for solving the problem they created.

China has huge biopharma material trade, they will have to do comprehensive control should it deem necessary and costs justified.

If it is reasonable, while willing to cost all US customer to demand China with all Chinese commodities, it should be much cheaper to let US pharmaceutical/medical ind/patients to bear just factions of cost to end their problem

This increase cost n China should charge to all export materials 5-10% before export. Win-win for China/US as long as requird.

China being the major supplier of materials toUS pharm mfrs, they could easily be blamed for their own problem. The blame anyway not China supply fentanyl but materials to make the drug US created.

You know how much they were fined by US courts what the problem got out of hands. Millions became addicts, many die.
