A new report claims PlayStation could be using social media bots to defend its decision to stop making physical game discs.

According to Moore’s Law Is Dead, AI was used to analyze accounts posting in support of PlayStation’s digital-only future.

The report says many of those accounts looked suspicious, with recent creation dates, AI-generated profile pictures, and very similar posting patterns.

Fans have flooded PlayStation’s YouTube and social media posts with demands not to abandon physical media.

No matter what Sony uploads, game trailers, PS Plus videos, or hardware announcements they are getting spammed with the same message: “Keep physical games.”

The campaign has spread so widely that almost every new PlayStation video is now filled with comments about physical games instead of the actual content.

Sony attacks a core element of video game culture by killing physical media. It will hurt retailers, creators, media, developers, loyal fans, and casual players alike. Nobody wins!

For all those saying canceling subscriptions and pre-orders does nothing...

They're selling shares and jumping ship like the rats they are.

Don't let off.

Keep boycotting Sony and PlayStation. Stop giving them your money. Cancel your subscriptions. Email customer service appealing the no-physical decision. Keep reminding them under every social media post that this isn't going away.

They want people to get tired and move on.
