In 2022, the South Korean government effectively scammed BTS out of 7 billion won for their Busan World Expo concert. Despite initially promising to cover the expenses for the event, the government ultimately left BTS to shoulder all the costs themselves. The government used this event as leverage to determine the members' military exemption status, but the members chose to announce their enlistment before the government could make a decision. Furthermore, the allocation of the 1 billion won personally donated by RM remains unaccounted for.
Must-read 👀👀👀💀According to the article, Busan is responsible for security and crowd management outside the stadium, while HYBE handles operations inside since they’re paying to use the venue. Despite the tour being announced in January, the city only began preparations on June 5 and then tried to blame HYBE for submitting its disaster management plan at the end of May.💀
The city also faced backlash after trying to recruit 900 officials, reducing the total workforce from 1,800 to 1,228🙄🙄One official said the event should be used to promote Busan’s brand value because of the global attention 🙄 basically playing the victim and painting Hybe as the villain

Friendly reminder, watch the festa dinner with OFFICIAL SUBTITLES, before participating in any discourse or half baked videos 🙏🏼😭
I beg you, media literacy is a need on here, do not set up boys over your need for hit tweets or get rage baited by obvious antis.
A manager asked me when I was bringing more “kpop oreos” and I said “never because there’s no such thing. There are BTS Oreos and when you tell me your favorite BTS song I’ll bring more or you can find them yourself.”
Guys if you are going to concert don’t ignore this. It is the first time after years they are asking us to pair our army bam with our ticket since it doesn’t pair automatically. They probably did it to make the army bam special message with armys like they did before so everyone make sure to do it to not mess it up😭😭😭
Last night I was telling the family GC about the new BTS x Oreo collab. I woke up this morning to a photo of my uncle with half a dozen packs in his arms, saying he found them for me. I was so touched & grateful I couldn’t tell him we’re also getting them in the UK in August 😭
When critics across publications praise an album's ambition, emotional scope, and cultural significance, that's not fandom talking. That's recognition of artistic achievement.
ARIRANG by BTS deserves serious Grammy and Brit consideration.
I got to work this morning and found this on my desk. My coworker drove around to 10 stores on his day off yesterday to find the BTS oreos for me. He said it's because every time I talk about the guys my eyes light up🥹

Got into my cab to my hotel and the first thing I was asked is, am I here for bts? Of course I said yes and then my cab driver just exploded with gleeful energy.
Told me to make sure I go to Haeundae Beach and Jimin’s dad’s cafe 🫠
The locals here are so thrilled btw. The majority of them that I’ve made small talk with since landing are more than happy to have so many army around. And they’ve been generously accommodating so far.
So whatever nonsense that’s spewed on the internet. It really doesn’t translate to real life. Bc BTS are genuinely adored here by the locals.
Even tho this BTSxOREO collab has absolutely nothing to do w/ me, the fact that it exists makes me feel 정 for this amazing group of Korean artists who inspired a cookie that evokes all these memories of home for those of us who are no longer there.
