43 Olympic sports programs have been eliminated at NCAA member schools so far in the 18 weeks of 2026.

​13 more teams were lost due to school closure, and an additional 23 were downgraded to Division 3.

​Rational folks recognize that this is due in large part to the outlandish, Title IX-violating payments to a micro percentage of heavily-subsidized college students who participate in certain college sports.
