Nothing makes AD Cone happier than when a former student-athlete comes back to campus. So good to spend time with Khaila Webb, Class of 2018 and a member of one of our BSC WBB Championship Teams.

College athletics are for and are played by degree-seeking college students.
Professional sports are for and are played by professional athletes.
That's the way it is.
That's the way it should be.
This event has been a huge impact for the @VisitAsheville area. Shoutout to my good friend @ADCone on building a world class track facility here. More events to come in the future because of her vision.
Asheville is hosting the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships and the Big South Conference baseball championships with tourism leaders hoping the events will boost local economy.

43 Olympic sports programs have been eliminated at NCAA member schools so far in the 18 weeks of 2026.
13 more teams were lost due to school closure, and an additional 23 were downgraded to Division 3.
Rational folks recognize that this is due in large part to the outlandish, Title IX-violating payments to a micro percentage of heavily-subsidized college students who participate in certain college sports.
Happy Mother's Day.
