@kyzoroXX M40s are not the play. The Maxwell architecture lacks FP16 instructions all together, and has a very low bandwith.
Pascal-era cards are strictly better, the P100 beats the M40 (and P40) by a longshot, and costs just 100$ as well.

@icantbehereatm Its a gargantuan building, they have plenty of space for heatsinks. And even if they use cooling towers- it will still consume very little compared to effectively every other industry. there are no environmental impacts to using what a well can provide.

@icantbehereatm Little to none. Datacenters of this scale largely use closed loop cooling, only occasionally refreshing the loop. The GPUs that will be used here are also specifically made for this, as they all have waterblocks (which require distilled water, which the tap can't provide).
