Our innovative product, #GAF, replaces the use of formalin as fixative. GAF is a non-toxic and non-cancerogenic fixative solution with #histological efficacy. The main goal of GAF is to protect the #health of workers involved in histological #fixation and health of #patients.

In the present paper, researchers from the University of Washington compared the #morphological properties of biological samples fixed with formalin or with #glyoxal. They conclude that glyoxal #fixatives are suitable substitutes for structural and morphological evaluations.

Recently, a group from the university of Georg-August-Universität Göttingen in Germany, demonstrated that #glyoxal can successfully replace formalin, like previously described by our founder prof. Gianni Bussolati in 2017.

Glyoxal was suggested as substitute for formalin in histological fixation for the first time in 1943, here is a chapter of #Science where the efficacy and safety of glyoxal fixation was firstly described.

Bussolati and his collaborators, in 2017, were the first to asses that GAF represents a novel and safe tissue fixative by investigating its reliability in maintaining morphological details and molecular structures of different pathological samples.
