Davido's Oriade album is predictably d'sappointing; For someone who is considered a legacy artiste, 15 years into the game, he could've put up a better project. The album is d:sposable, due to the fact that songs on this very project sound like leftoverz from his past albums.
The album seems to have been made to simply trend on Tiktok, as there's no artistic risk taken. Songs are too short, barely reaching 3 minutes and had no central theme.
About the tracks.
-There are times when there was no lyrical focus with the featured artiste(s), one example being "Amazing Grace". Black Sherif saved the collab by sticking to theme which was love, while Davido made it about vanity.
-Some beats are quite similar, tracks like Amazing Grace, and Julie for example.
-Tracks on the project feels scattered due to having no direction. From Amazing Grace inspiring love, to the track Julie talking about Konji.
-In the Yaya, he missed a beat after the "Parlez francais et" line, the timing was wrong plus the beat was a bit too loud, overshadowing their vocals.
That said, Already Falling which is the only decent song on the album should've been released as a single.
The greatest thing about this album is the cover which is beautifully done. It's a 2/10. No offense.
Baby they hate foreigners in South Africa if you're not white. They're literally killing Ghanaians, Ugandans, Nigerians, etc
This commercial is literally only for white people and South African born.
I haven’t heard her come out to openly condemn the xenophobia. But you wanna do pop up in Lagos, naaah. Stay right there where you at. Wanna pop up, condemn the xenophobia first, then we’d welcome with open arms.
You show promoters and organizers have a lot of nerve wanting to bring Tyler to this country to perform. Who even are the particular people organizing that rubbish?
