@StBurniSaints@HeadRichard6969@MinnBaseball@MBA_State_2027 Any team that plays in a mid-season tournament.
Only 9 teams in Class B didn't play at least 3 games in a 5 day window. Most teams playing 3 games in 3 or 4 day windows. Of the 9 that didn't, 4 of them are in the Victory League where they play fewer games than most.
@scotty_melvin33@MinnBaseball Looks like class A semifinal games moved from Jordan to Shakopee on Saturday. Allows Shakopee to not have to travel if they win their Saturday morning quarterfinal. And keeps the class A seminfals back-to-back at the same park.
@scotty_melvin33@MinnBaseball Pretty standard and nothing new. Large number of workers at the host sites are players/fans of the team. Tough for a site to both host games and have many workers not there as they are playing their own game at a separate location.
Combined with it being better for attendance.
@TownballJesus@TownballTwister@BoniSaints Sounds like they would fall under the 'plenty of player points' category and have enough arms to play 3 games in a weekend just fine.
Not knocking today's champion l, but both teams got there with major help from draftees. I think it's fair to have a discussion about getting rid of the draftees in class B. Only three games being played on Labor Day weekend and supposedly have the top 60ish teams from old....
@TownballTwister @JoeGrose29 Pitchers on the back end of Labor Day weekend have likely been off for 2-3 weeks anyways regardless of being a draftee or not. There is so much talent in Class B that you can allow teams to use their roster only and still have high high quality baseball through Labor Day weekend.
@TownballTwister Class B teams either have cities with large enough populations, plenty of player points, or have had enough success that they should have plenty of pitching to get through 3 games in a weekend without the level of play dropping.
@TownballTwister Neither is wrong, if draftees are available by all means use them. And again, both championship teams deserved to be there! I do think a real look into whether or not Class B should have draftees needs to be had.
Class C. Shouldn't these teams be self sufficient enough to be able to pitch 3 games in a weekend? Also the idea of dropping draftees from 3 to 2 for class B was irrelevant. Look at how many current Class C teams used their 3rd drafted, would guess it was virtually zero of them.
Mark your calendars! We have two game coming up this week @NewmanOFFargo (Home of the @FMRedHawks)

@MinnBaseball@BPJGI2024
All teams coming from the North. Hwy 169 under construction between Shakopee and Jordan. Traffic will be extra heavy with Renaissance festival going on. I would avoid that stretch of HWY if possible.
