"VEVE IS DEAD"
Since the beginning of 2023, The Paul Barron Network (PBN) has been targeting VeVe in an apparent attempt to undermine their platform, while subsequently propping up or promoting several other collectible companies in the space.
@CallumUptonYT@veve_official Instead of creating something, you are trying to make a career by attempting to drag down others that you know absolutely nothing about. Just reaping engagement from those people who's only hobby is hating, or maybe that is really your mindset too... Either way its awful and sad.
@bnrealwithu@veve_official Sadly often its not a misunderstanding, but short term engagement above all. But fortunately we have creators too who keep this in mind!
From 2017 to October 14th 2020, nobody knew about #VeVe. But there were 2 founders who quietly paved the way for the future of digital collectibles, without a "community", without "moonbois", "fudders", without much money, without much of anything.
Were they backed by the Silicon Valley & Wall St giants like Sequoia, Goldman, SoftBank, Y Combinator, Andreessen Horowitz? No.
Were they building in an existing/boring industry where things were beautifully laid out, and if you burn enough money, you win? No.
Did they have thousands of fan/and non-fans cheering, insulting, suggesting, supporting, motivating? No.
Did they come from prestigious backgrounds of "founders with million/billion dollars exits"? No.
But did they do it anyways? Yes.
If the fans weren't there to support them, who were? ⚡️ Alfred Kahn (turned Pocket Monster to Pokemon)
🦸🏻♂️ DC Comics (est. 1934)
🐭 Disney (est. 1923)
🌎 Universal Studio (est. 1912)
Do these partners sound like they would do their DD before handing out the assets they spent a century building to these 2 unknown Kiwi founders? I'm pretty sure they did.
So 2 Kiwis, unknown, "sound like a rug", "liars", "cheaters", would be able to proudly say "we onboarded Disney, DC, Universal, USPS to the digital collectible space", and have a 7-year running business where people talk about them daily, have a booth next to Marvel, share a panel with Sony, and get tweeted by Disney.
Wait what? That doesn't sound right. It really doesn't. Or does it? I don't know, but I'm sure we all have our own answers.
It doesn't matter. They will keep building.
Sure they excitedly overpromised, and sadly underdelivered, but they will keep building.
Is VeVe the only company that misses deadlines? I think we can answer that, but they will keep building.
Is VeVe the only company that faces challenges that upset their customers? Yes, but they will fix it, and keep building.
Things happened, we all make mistakes, but imagine your best friends and relatives call you out 24/7 on social media while you are trying to build something for them that might change the world?
Please, just take 5 seconds, and do that.
Sure, constructive criticism is fine, but "rug", "devalue collectibles", "scammers", really?
Put yourselves in their shoes, stop reading, close your eyes, take that 5 seconds.
But after all, if they can overcame all the challenges in the past 7 years to bring Spiderman (1962), Superman (1938), and Mickey Mouse (1928) to the blockchain, and be the pioneer in the space, do you think they will care if you call them using those angry words?
Nah, I bet if the cost of changing the world for the better, the cost of bringing IPs that have billions of fans and centuries of combined history to the digital space is a few angry words, then bring them on all day. They will keep building.
If the cost of pioneering a whole new industry and bringing millions of products to tens of thousand of people globally, to have hundreds show up to support them at offline events, to have many more proudly show off the AR photos they take with their Superman, Vader and children, because that's a beautiful way to share the same passion with their kids, of people sharing their excitement because they finally could afford an Amazing Fantasy 15 that they otherwise wouldn't be afford in real life, if that cost is a few angry tweets. Totally worth it. They will keep building.
It doesn't matter. They will keep building, because it's worth it, because the future is bright. The rest is...your call.
Cheers.
There are many valid concerns with VeVe and Ecomi, and there is a lot of room for improvement.
However, some topics are brought up where the sole aim is to discredit and take the project down through manipulating the facts & truth.
I won’t allow it.

@tokertwins@DavidYuNZ@veve_official@Trappin_NFTs People seeing these from the outside would think its mostly just kids doing the trolling and the constant falling for it. The average age in the veve fam being well above 30 makes it mind blowing 😂
