Here is what I know.
Do not mess with @JennMUnifor and the Atlantic sisters!
Because when they fight, they win.
Historic day for all women as our efforts to have VAW declared an epidemic gets full NS Legislature support.
Let's keep organizing! #nspoli

Today is a good day. All political parties in Nova Scotia came together today to declare intimate partner violence an epidemic. This historic legislation turns an accepted recommendation from the Mass Casualty Commission into law.
Minutes later, the government was back in the house of assembly to pass a bill that went through all three readings with all-party support in just under 10 minutes. #nspoli
The bill's passage also followed a tense conversation involving four women from the private-sector union Unifor who were advocating for the bill โ and who had cornered Houston near a hallway elevator outside the legislative chamber. /1 https://t.co/UnSuMlQwWg
@JoeMurp74216103@bethpenneyNL ๐ maybe you should be more concerned about the millions and millions our government give food suppliers in subsidies from our tax dollars and then STILL charge Northern communities these prices!
Coming forward and talking about mental health is so important. It's also important to have great non-judgmental listeners ready and trained to have those hard conversations. Thank you to the listeners and advocates. Let's keep the conversations going!
Local 410 is moving Forward, Together and endorsing Lana Payne, Len Poirier, Jennifer Murray, Dayle Steadman and Gavin McGarrigle as Uniforโs next national leadership team. Solidarity!
