It was a pleasure to host the National Youth Leader of our great party @OfficialAPCNg, @dayoisrael , his Deputy, and the Zonal Youth Leaders in a robust and highly productive meeting yesterday. Our discussions focused on the critical concerns of our young people, particularly regarding the ministry’s role and its alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The National Youth Leader introduced the Progressive Young Farmers Network, an inspiring initiative conceived during his recent visit to Kwara State. This network, set to be officially launched at the PYL Summit 2024 in September, represents a significant step in empowering young farmers nationwide. By providing essential tools and opportunities, it aims to foster growth and success within the agricultural sector.

We delved into key initiatives such as the National Agricultural Growth Scheme - Agro Pocket (NAGS-AP), the National Farm Soil Health Card Scheme, the Guarantee Minimum Price Scheme, the Back to Back Farming Program, and the Feed and Fodders Program. These initiatives are crucial in ensuring food security, enhancing production, and mitigating the pollution of underground water sources. Together, they are shaping a sustainable food system for Nigeria.

Our commitment to youth inclusion is unwavering. The Young Farmers Network program seeks to establish strong partnerships with various ministries to unlock opportunities for our young farmers. This initiative transcends a mere program; it is a movement powered by the energy, innovation, and passion of young Nigerians dedicated to the future of our nation’s agriculture.

* APC youth leaders affirm support for President

Vice President @KashimSM has restated the commitment of President @officialABAT’s administration to support and empower more Nigerian youths to excel in their chosen vocations.

According to him, the President holds Nigerian youths in high esteem, and his commitment is evident in his appointments and the administration's policies and initiatives such as the Youth Investment Fund, iDICE Programme, and the National Youth Development Bank, among others.

The Vice President spoke on Friday when he received the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (@OfficialAPCNg) youth wing, led by the party's National Youth Leader, Mr. @dayoisrael, on a courtesy visit to the Presidential Villa.

Senator @KashimSM said, apart from addressing genuine concerns affecting the youths, the administration's focus on young persons is premised on the trust and confidence the President has in them, stressing that "the youths are the lifeblood of any nation and Mr. President acknowledges this fact."

"I want to assure you that President @officialABAT has the best interests of the youths at heart, and he has demonstrated this in most of the programmes that this administration is doing and has undertaken to do," he added.

Sen. @KashimSM further expressed confidence in the ability of the present administration to address all of the concerns raised across different quarters and appealed for more time for the government's plans and programmes to begin to manifest.

He commended the leadership of the @OfficialAPCNg youth wing for their steadfastness, commitment, and patience, assuring that all the group's requests would be addressed in due course.
