Since leaving the EU allowed the UK to ban the fishing of sandeels, which in turn is protecting our endangered seabirds like the Puffin for whom the sandeel is their main food source...
I can only assume that the pro-Rejoin campaigners would happily sacrifice British puffins.
@andyburnham It’s the public control elements of energy that caused the biggest rises in energy. Are you just dumb or just continuing Starmer’s gaslighting?
Burnham promises a bill to repeal Thatcher’s ban on the public ownership of water.
There is no blanket legal ban that makes public ownership of water illegal in the UK.
Parliament can nationalise water companies if it passes new legislation.
The House of Commons Library has said neither the Water Act 1989 nor the Water Industry Act 1991 “prohibit nationalisation or public ownership”.
@SarahForRuncorn@AllisonPearson Dont be silly Sarah, the govt. has to free up places to lock up people in balaclavas (no the lefty ones thou) and anyone trying to stop illegal boats landing
@PatrickChristys@georgedmadgwick Outrageous. This is the same police who when you report a crime you are given a number and that is it. No conversation, no investigation, just inaction
@BCFC I wonder how many of the moaners who commented on the previous post will comment here. Some people forget that football can turn on the head of pin. Great goal vicente. #kro
The Telegraph reports today that schools actively avoid teaching anything about 9/11 to avoid stirring up ‘anti-Muslim hatred’. I consider this growing inability to reflect truthfully on the events of 25 years ago in my latest weekly monologue, on YouTube.

@notayesmansecon I believe there was a big growth in public sector and falls in consumer spending, new construction and production. So not looking that brilliant when you get behind the figures. On top of that there was the World Cup too
@TiceRichard I’ve fortunately bought
clothes online this year for the first time as my nearest little town has such limited choice. I hope reform does come and a fairer balance is struck and the empty units are brought back into use.
@RupertLowe10 I’m sorry Rupert, but unfortunately i can only see this handing another 4 years to this awful government. Best intentions don’t always pay off
