My Pastor of 18 Years and counting....
I was a student in Obafemi Awolowo University, member of Christ Love Fellowship, and part of the Protocol Unit.
Agape 2006 was huge, with some BIG NAMES in ministry as guests. Then there was the man only the fellowship Pastors knew. Poju Oyemade. Who be that? Our pastors said "don't worry, you will know". His first session was at night, at Amphi Theatre. Hardly anybody stood up throughout. "Which kain insight be this?" His next session was the following morning. I didn't plan to attend as I had a class. I never missed classes. I didn't read a lot, but I was always in class. Following what I heard the previous night though, I chose to attend the Agape session that morning. It was at Covered Pavilion; I can NEVER forget!
He spoke from Luke 19 sharing on how the time is coming where it's those who excel at enterprise that would be given governmental power.
I had given my life to Christ 3 years prior and had been searching for MY local assembly with no success thus far.
That morning, I said in my heart, "where ever this man's church is, THAT is my church, because he is my Pastor!" I didn't even know the name of the church. I had to ask him (I was his protocol that morning). I joined in Covenant Christian Centre in 2007 (now The Covenant Nation), and have never looked back since.
Thank you Pastor Poju, for shaping my understanding of scripture.
Thank you, for modeling leadership devoid of hero worship.
Thank you for showing that spirituality does not suspend intellect
Hi! I'm looking to speak to people who moved from Lagos to a cheaper city for a Zikoko story I'm working on. Please DM or retweet so this reaches the people it needs to.

Chimamanda said many unforgettable things last night, but what stayed with me was her openness and vulnerability in acknowledging that previous successes don’t always silence self doubt.
You must constantly remind yourself to have complete faith in your process.
An Icon🇳🇬❤️
@elonmusk Not so long ago we warned that the Apartheid Mafia of Elon Musk, David Sachs, Peter Thiel, John Pollack, Roelof Botha etc that has seized America via their puppet Donald Trump were bad news for South Africa in particular and Africa in general.
IBB admitting, in 2025, that MKO Abiola won the June 12 Presidential elections in 1993, is as significant as him admitting that night follows the day.
Are we supposed to clap because he told the truth after 3 decades?
Am I missing something?
